As a sheltered kid in a small town, I thought I was the only queer person that existed. I was convinced that I was a broken version of my sister; a defective byproduct of some issue in the human assembly line to be discarded when discovered. When I finally learned the word "gay," it was only as a whispered warning in the same breath as monsters and myth.
The kids at school spread rumors about Santa Claus being fake, Bloody Mary living in the bathroom mirror, and our 2nd grade teacher being gay. All of which were unacceptable and frightening... I learned I was unacceptable and frightening.
My photography is empowering, inclusive, and affirming. I specialize in creating and capturing genuine authentic connection, and I'm intentional in seeing and hearing the people I work with as humans first and clients second.
I'm glad you're here, and I'd love to work with you.
I'm a Portland photographer, but I travel to my clients all the time! Distance won't be an issue, promise. All of the projected travel fees are wrapped into my initial quote, but prices might increase depending on flights. I'll always be transparent and discuss any changes before finalizing any travel and accommodations.
Speaking of fees... I'm always happy to offer a custom package and price if my fees are a bit out of reach for you. I can't guarantee the adjusted rates will work for you either, but I'll do my best to work with your financial needs when possible.
My photography style is documentary, fly-on-the-wall storytelling.
I capture the magical in-between moments and details that authentically tell your story. I prefer natural light, but I've been known to use a flash when the situation calls for it.
